New Pier for Fishing Enthusiasts at Flaming Gorge Reservoir
Fishing enthusiasts have a passion for finding new and unique places to cast their bait and this need for adventure is only understood by fellow anglers. The good news is that the latest venue for fishing is at the Flaming Gorge Reservoir where some of the best views are in store along with a net full of fish. A fishing pier has been recently constructed at the visitor area of the dam and has been promoted by the Forest Service of America, the Bureau of Reclamation and the Utah Division of Wildlife. The funds to construct the pier came from the Utah Blue Ribbon Fisheries Council for casting bait at the 8ft wide x 80ft long dock. There are protective handrails to ensure safety as well, making it a perfect place to fish with young enthusiasts as well.
At the End of The Line
The Pier sits over 35 ft over the water’s surface and is perfect for fishing during all seasons of the year. Coldwater fish such as rainbow trout and even lake trout are available in these waters. The smallmouth bass is a frequent visitor in these waters during the summer months. Young fishermen find that the place is perfect for learning a few ideas about the adventures of fishing from this pier with supervision. The pier has attracted families from all over to come to the fishing spot because of the shaded picnic area that is available. The ADA accessible trail is open from sunrise to sunset every day and is perfect for a family getaway. People are allowed to go to the shoreline and the pier and even find boat rentals to go out into the water.
